CIRA Platform Terms of Service

Welcome to CIRA (Centralized Information for Research Access). By registering an account, searching the database, or uploading research papers, you agree to comply with the following Terms of Service and institutional academic regulations.

1. Account Registration & Eligibility

• Account creation is strictly restricted to verified students, faculty, and authorized institutional staff.
• Librarian approval is required before full repository access and document downloads are unlocked.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and OTP verification codes.

2. Academic Research Submissions

• All research studies uploaded to CIRA must represent original, authorized academic work (theses, capstones, or technical papers).
• Plagiarism, falsification of data, or submitting unauthorized third-party works is strictly prohibited and subject to institutional disciplinary action.
• Submissions must accurately cite co-authors, academic advisers, and designated academic units (ICS, ILAS, INET, IGS).

3. Acceptable Use & Content Restrictions

• Research papers accessed on CIRA are intended strictly for academic reference, non-commercial research, and educational study.
• Users may not scrape, bulk download, resell, or commercially distribute materials from CIRA.
• Any attempt to bypass security layers, tamper with activity logs, or disrupt system availability is forbidden.

4. Account Termination & Governance

Institutional administrators reserve the right to suspend, disable, or delete accounts that violate academic policies or compromise platform security.

• Activity Logs: Login timestamps, OTP verification events, search queries, and document access requests.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

• Account authentication, OTP security verification, and librarian account approval.
• Archiving, indexing, and organizing institutional thesis and capstone literature.
• Evaluating document access requests by institutional librarians.
• Generating platform usage metrics and AI research gap suggestions.

3. Data Protection & Security

Your information is stored in secured institutional database environments. Access is strictly limited to authorized librarians and system administrators. Passwords are securely hashed and sessions are protected.

4. Rights of the Data Subject

Under RA 10173, users have the right to access, verify, correct, or request the deletion of their personal information by contacting institutional administrators.
